2009 - The Year of ACTS 9

We are sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ on the streets of Winnipeg, Canada. You are strongly welcome to join us to share the good news and spread the gospel. We have found that sharing the gospel is incredibly exciting and many people are open to listening and receiving Christ’s teachings. We only need to walk down our downtown streets, read the newspaper or look in our own backyards to see that this is a hurting world and people are in need of hope.

I used to see other religions knocking on doors and would make fun of them or question this approach. As I was raised in a Christian home, I tried my best to live at peace with everyone and not “offend” anyone by sharing my beliefs outside of Church. I had plenty of reasons for feeling this way including a belief that no one wanted to hear it and that everyone had already heard the Good News of Jesus Christ.

However, a recent experience has changed my belief such that I realized how wrong many of my assumptions were about this. In November 2007, during a 21 day Daniel Fast, the Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ appeared to me in a waking vision. I became convicted that there is no other Truth other then that proclaimed by Jesus Christ and the Bible. The experience has changed my life and led to immense passion to spread the gospel. I teamed up with my cousin, Ian Dyck, who likewise has felt a similar calling for a number of years. The Lord is calling upon believers to begin to share the gospel on the streets, at work, in the marketplace and at church.

We believe one of the best ways is through personal contact with individuals on the streets. It is so simple yet easily overlooked. In fact, it is the very way Jesus Christ commanded us to share the good news about him. “After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them TWO by TWO ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. He told them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Go!” Luke 10: 1-3

Jesus Christ is searching for believers to share the good news. It doesn’t matter if you are well educated or untrained, well spoken or not, all that matters is your heart and willingness to serve Christ. If you feel called, come join us. Give it a try. We believe that once you begin to share the love of Christ it will forever change your heart and your love for God and your fellow human being.

We meet at the Red Road Lodge or Calvary Temple on Saturdays (see calendar) and go to local malls, hospitals or missions. It is a lot of fun as you never know what God has planned each time and who you will encounter. There is nothing as rewarding as seeing someone accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour.
